PHILOSOPHY
ACUPUNCTURE
REFLEXOLOGY

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, known as "qi" or "chi." It is used to treat a variety of conditions, including pain, stress, and chronic illnesses, by restoring balance and promoting natural healing processes. The practice, which dates back thousands of years, is based on the concept that the body's energy pathways, or meridians, must be free of blockages for optimal health. Modern research suggests that acupuncture may trigger the release of endorphins and affect the nervous system, contributing to its therapeutic effects.

Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears, which correspond to different organs and systems within the body. Originating from ancient Chinese and Egyptian civilisations, reflexology is based on the belief that these pressure points can help stimulate the body's natural healing processes, improve circulation, and reduce stress. Practitioners use their thumbs and fingers to massage these areas in a precise and systematic manner. Reflexology is often used to alleviate a variety of conditions, including tension headaches, digestive issues, and hormonal imbalances, while also promoting overall relaxation and well-being.

PHYSIOTHERAPY
BOWEN THERAPY

Physiotherapy works with patients of all ages to improve mobility, strength, and function, often following injury, surgery, or illness. Treatment methods may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and education on posture and movement strategies. By promoting recovery and preventing further injury, physiotherapy aims to enhance a patient’s quality of life and overall physical well-being. It is commonly used for conditions such as sports injuries, arthritis, stroke rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.

Bowen therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork. It involves the practitioner using their fingers and thumbs to make subtle, rolling movements over muscles, tendons, and fascia at specific points on the body. These movements are designed to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, promote relaxation, and alleviate pain. Bowen therapy is often used to treat musculoskeletal issues, stress, and chronic conditions. The approach emphasises minimal intervention, with pauses between sets of moves allowing the body time to respond and integrate the effects of the treatment.
